Yoga Pose: Uthitia

Yoga in Variety

Lisa started her practice in 2001 with White Lotus Vinyasa instructor Kent Bond and thanks to his training and encouragement, began teaching less than a year later. She has studied Iyengar with Kofi Busia and Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, which styles have inspired her own signature attention to alignment and safety. Lisa is also known for her serene presence and her compassionate instruction and when she is not teaching or practicing, you may see her reading the organic labels at Whole Foods with her young sons Jackson and Grant.

"What is my pet peeve? Probably competitiveness, not just with others but also with one's self, probably because I used to be competitive when I started and I got injured and I don't want my students to make my mistakes. I want them to see yoga as an indulgence, a time to be thankful for, because this practice is so good for you on so many different levels." ~ Lisa Goo
