Before You Come

Online Registration
Our secure online system allows you to purchase classes and sign up for events, manage your account and see teacher substitutions and holiday schedules. You can make purchases, see all of your transactions, print receipts, check your class attendance and change any account information securely from your home computer! The system will recognize you when you use the exact name and email address you gave us when you filled out your new student waiver form.

Parental Consent
Students must be over the age of 12 in order to practice in our non-heated group classes and over the age of 15 in order to participate in our heated classes. If you are between 12 and 17 years old, please have a parent or adult guardian accompany you to your first class so that they can sign your waiver and give consent for you to join in the classes.

What to Bring
You will need a yoga mat and a large beach or bath size towel for all heated classes. We rent yoga mats for $2. EO organic skincare is provided in our well-appointed shower rooms. We sell water, coconut water, mats, yoga towels and the best yoga clothing in the world, as well as after-yoga outfits to change into, if you forget yours. This means you can come to us in the most disheveled and unprepared state and we will return you to the world serene, happy and ready for anything. Or you can bring all these things yourself. Either way, you will need them.

Be on Time
Please allow yourself plenty of time to get here. If you are 6 or more minutes late, you will have to wait for the next class, which could be a drag.

Intro Special

Memberships are a great way to lower your per class cost. If you regularly attend classes from 2-5 times a week, this option is for you. We love our members so you will receive generous discounts and privileges throughout the year.

We do not charge credit cards for a $2 water or a mat or towel rental. You may use cash or place $20 at a time on your "water account" that you may use for water, towels or a mat whenever you visit the studio.

You're Here

During peak times (weeknights and Saturday morning), please allow an extra 5-8 minutes to find parking. Please park in the underground garage, or in our lot across the street on the North East corner of Shannon Rd. and Los Gatos Blvd. If these lots are full please find parking on the street. Please respect neighboring businesses and do not park in their lots. Please adhere to the posted signage in our lots and do not park in the Keller Williams spaces. Keller Williams has given us the option to use some of their spaces on Sat. & Sun. as well as before 8:30am and after 5:30pm M-F. There are some spaces we cannot use at all so please read the signs carefully. Please do not park in any 30 minute parking spaces if you are here to take class- all of our classes are longer than that.

Keychain Barcode
Your barcode speeds you through the class check in process. Please tell the front desk which class you are attending before scanning your card. Wait until it beeps and they confirm you're set, and which room your class will be in.

Please use the shower rooms to change, not restrooms or boutique changing room.

We offer cubbies and shelving for you to leave belongings. We have several security cameras for your protection, however we recommend not leaving your wallet or anything of irreplaceable value to you in these cubbies or on the shelves. NO shoes or phones will be allowed in the practice space.

Hang out
We pride ourselves to be one of the few places in Silicon Valley where complete strangers talk to each other. Make friends or browse the yoga blogs. Wireless is available for free.

Entering the Yoga Space
Please remove your shoes and only take in what is absolutely necessary. Please leave cell phones, pagers and alarms in your car. During peak times, our classes are 15 minutes apart to get you out faster. Please be patient and quietly wait outside as our professional cleaners prepare the room for you.

How to Yoga

Grab all the props you may need before class starts. Please put a towel over blankets and bolsters.

Be aware of students coming in after you who need a spot and be prepared to shift your mat a little bit to make the space more balanced for everybody. For peak classes, we may need to form an extra row. Stagger wisely, aware of how it affects everyone behind, in front, and to the side of you.

Please clean up the floor around your mat before leaving.

Do not leave early. If you must, please practice by the doors and wait until a pose where students cannot see you go.

All classes (except for Hot 26), end together with a savasana (final resting pose) guided by the instructor. Please do not leave during Savasana

Some Tips From Our Existing Students

Flow classes:
"No beginners in Power! Try Foundations and Vinyasa first and once you have the technique down, come try it. We have the best classes in the Bay Area!"

"Front row is the warmest spot in the room, by the doors and windows is the coolest."

[Before our energetic flow classes]... "students tend to chat. If you want to lie peacefully, no one will bug you or you can join the conversation and make friends."

"Prepare to sweat! Yogitoes [the special mat-sized yoga towels] may save your life, or at least save you from the frustration of slipping and sliding all over the mat."

Gentle classes:
Please be patient and wait outside as our cleaners prepare the room for you. This shorter transition means you get done earlier.

If people are already in the practice space, please respect the meditative environment.

While we never heat our Gentle, Yin or Restorative classes, if there are many people in the room, the temperature will naturally increase. The cool spots in the room are by the windows and doors. A good practice is to wear layers.

If balancing is a challenge, find a wall for support.

Hot 26 classes:
"Give it at least 5 classes - the heat will become easier and easier."

Some students swear by freezing water before coming. Drink before and bring electrolytes.

"Front row is the warmest spot in the room, by the doors and windows is the coolest."

After Class

Ask your teacher
All our teachers love to help out. Anything bug you, not sure if you're doing a transition right, want to learn how to take a pose further... go up to your teacher after class and ask.

Shower Policy
Showers close 30 minutes after the last class. Please respect other students time by limiting your showers to 5 minutes.

Replenish water and electrolytes!

Do Not Be a Stinky Yogi
Please do not forget your sweaty clothes in a plastic bag in the back of your car for days and days. No matter what fabric technology, you must hang or lay them flat to dry (serious yogis leave their car trunks empty for that purpose) or wash them immediately. If you notice a smell even after washing them, leave them in the sun for a day and that may help get rid of it.

Lost and Found
Please come in and inquire about lost items as soon as you notice you are missing something. The lost and found gets donated every two weeks!

Deepen You Practice

Private sessions are an invaluable way to learn how you should approach each pose best suited for your body. Whether you are healing an injury, a beginner wanting to learn more, or an advanced practitioner, you will dramatically improve your alignment and awareness, bringing greater strength, flexibility and well being to your practice. Please call the front desk to schedule.

We bring in well-known and highly respected presenters from around the world as well as from right here in our own back yard to focus on specific aspects of the practice. These workshops are an additional fee and are not included in the regular group class packages or memberships. You can view and sign up online.

We are serious about taking care of your body and while we do not offer massage we know some very special people in the community who do. Please inquire if you are looking for a massage, myofacial or physical therapist.

How to Be a Really Good Yogi
  1. Show up on time. Remove your shoes and enter the practice space in a way that honors the existing energy. Delicately lay your mat down giving the person to your left and right enough room to enter and exit their mat without needing to walk on yours. Grab whatever props you may need and arrange them near your mat leaving room for other students to do the same.
  2. Stay through final savasana. If you must leave early set up by the door, inform the instructor when possible, and quietly gather up your belongings making the quietest most unassuming exit of your life.
  3. Be that kind soul that offers to adjust their mat to make space for that last student standing around looking for a spot.
  4. Tread lightly, take only as many hand towels as you need. Come to think of it this works for tp, paper towels, our complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as well.
  5. Wash your yoga clothes after each wear or at least air dry them if they won't make it to the washer for a few days.
  6. Always wear enough clothing to cover the essentials.
  7. If you are sick please stay home and get better.
  8. Turn your phone off and decide that whatever happens during class you will deal with once it is over.
  9.  Stay with the poses being offered by the instructor, modify them if needed, and keep the practice healthy for your body. Downlevel when you feel overwhelmed and try a variation of the pose if you are feeling curious! Inquire with the instructor before or after class if you have any questions or need guidance.
