200 Hour Gentle Yoga Training Certification


Our 200 Hour Gentle Yoga Training Certification prepares you to teach:

  • Gentle Yoga
  • Gentle Vinyasa or Vinyasa Basics
  • Yoga for Beginners
  • Yin Yoga
  • Restorative Yoga
  • and their derivatives

Modules

Our program consists of two 100-hour modules, which may be taken in any order, and a weekend of Final Classes, which is available once the two modules are completed. Make-up may be available for unavoidable absences if you inquire beforehand.


Anatomy and Kinesiology All Tracks (100 hours)

This module will revolutionize your practice forever and transform your relationship to your body! Learn to read students' movement, analyze your own, and clearly understand the functional anatomy as applied to poses and transitions. Read more and see upcoming dates and prices.


Methodology and Philosophy for Gentle Yoga (100 hours)

This training is for those who love the softer side of movement. Learn the fundamentals of teaching and sequencing the Gentle styles, working with beginning yoga students, and weaving the rich philosophy of yoga into your classes. We will spend a significant amount of time on the use of varied props and hands-on healing. Learn how to create nurturing environments, teach meditation, and use yoga as a tool for personal self transformation. Read more and see upcoming dates and prices.


Final Classes

Four final classes are required to complete your 200 hour Program. You are eligible only once you have attended both the Anatomy/Kinesiology and the Methodology/Philosophy modules. They are scheduled based on your availability, usually on Saturdays from 1:30-2:30pm. We will coordinate your dates at the start of your second module. You can then invite all your friends to share everything you have learnt, and celebrate your achievement!

Linda Schlamadinger McGrath

Linda is the founder and owner of Yoga Source Los Gatos, the largest independently-owned studio on the West Coast and Silicon Valley's most awarded Yoga and Pilates program. She leads trainings, conferences, and retreats in the US and internationally. As the Director of the YogaSource Teacher Training Institute since its inception in 2006, she has nurtured hundreds of successful yoga instructors from across the country.

Linda is a student of modern Buddhism, Jungian psychology and Interpersonal Neurobiology. Her yoga classes are a playful and masterful blend of precision, elegance and breath.

Linda has been interviewed and profiled by YogaJournal, NBC News, ABC's Best of the Bay, Common Ground, Yogi Times, San Jose Magazine, Los Gatos Weekly News and other publications. At other times of the day, she is a mom, a wife, a writer, a designer, and a foodie. Linda is a senior Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica and a board member of Insight World Aid, a local grassroots non-for profit inspired by the Buddhist principles of wisdom and compassion.
