Tao Yoga is a Chinese style of stretching and energetic exercise. It combines elements of yoga postures, qi gong flowing movements, and postures of power to develop strength, flexibility, and a internal energy. This style combines both yin and yang forms of conditioning; yang being dynamic, active, fluid movements and yin being static, meditative, grounding postures. Tao Yoga, originally called Tao Yin, means guiding and directing life-force energy through the body. Participants will learn a dynamic flow to open the body as well as cultivate more energy.
Great for all, but especially for folks looking for the softer side of Yoga and healing movement practices. Perfect for anyone recovering from injury, surgery or illness, or just looking for a mellow exercise program.
About lee holden
Lee Holden is an internationally known instructor in Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. Lee's programs, through American Public Television, have reached millions of viewers in the US and Canada. Qi Gong for Beginners with Lee Holden has aired on 105 PBS stations nationwide, reaching over 50 million households.
Lee lectures and teaches workshops across the U.S., as well as in Europe and Asia. Holden first discovered Tai Chi and Qi Gong in his quest to achieve peak sports performance as a varsity soccer player at Berkeley. Now, he is the founder of Pacific Healing Arts, one of Northern California’s most successful acupuncture and wellness practices. Lee has worked closely with Deepak Chopra, and he also serves as a stress management consultant to many corporations in Silicon Valley, including Apple and 3COM.
